Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join Rochdale Council's Family Support and Protection Service. This is an exciting locum opportunity for a skilled professional to help lead the transition into the Family Safeguarding Model.

Job Title: Advanced Practitioner - Children's Services

Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Contract: Locum | Full-Time
Working Pattern: Flexible/Agile Working Supported

About the Role:

As an Advanced Practitioner, you'll play a key leadership role, supporting Social Workers and Team Managers in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and families. You'll act as a bridge between management and frontline teams - enhancing practice, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and holding a reduced caseload to allow you to focus on practice quality and performance improvement.

Rochdale is currently undergoing a transformation to implement the Family Safeguarding Model. You will be instrumental in helping shape and embed this multi-disciplinary, whole-family approach by working alongside specialist practitioners under a unified management structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance, support, and reflective supervision to Social Workers
• Promote excellent practice and ensure adherence to statutory requirements
• Work collaboratively in co-located multi-disciplinary teams
• Support implementation of the Family Safeguarding Model across the service
• Maintain a reduced caseload focused on complex cases and quality intervention

Essential Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Registration with Social Work England
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within Children's Services
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
