Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection Locality Team at Manchester City Council. This is a locum position offering a supportive environment, hybrid working, and manageable average caseloads of 16.

About the Role:

As part of Manchester's Child Protection Locality Team, you will carry a diverse caseload covering Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, and court work. The council's structure enables you to work in a stable and well-supported team, focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing complex Child Protection and Child in Need cases
• Undertaking assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families
• Engaging in PLO and court proceedings when required
• Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children
• Maintaining high standards of recording, planning, and intervention in line with statutory duties

Average caseloads are capped at 16, ensuring that social workers can provide high-quality and focused support.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for someone who is motivated, resilient, and passionate about frontline social work. You will need to demonstrate strong assessment skills, clear decision-making, and a commitment to relationship-based practice.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum of 3 years' frontline experience within Child Protection
• Confident in managing court and PLO work
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle is preferable
