Eden Brown Synergy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Looked After Children Team at Bury Council. This is a fantastic locum opportunity to work in a supportive environment where the needs and outcomes of children in care are at the heart of practice.

About the Role:

As part of Bury's Looked After Children Team, you will provide high-quality, relationship-based support to children and young people in the care system. You will focus on improving outcomes by ensuring that each child's care plan is robust, regularly reviewed, and responsive to their needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Holding a caseload of looked after children and young people
• Completing statutory visits, care plans, and review reports
• Ensuring permanency planning is progressed without delay
• Building strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and professionals
• Contributing to court work and supporting children through legal proceedings where necessary
• Liaising with IROs, education and health teams, and placement providers to deliver holistic care

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a skilled, emotionally intelligent, and resilient practitioner who understands the needs of children in care and can work effectively within a multi-agency framework to promote positive change.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Registration with Social Work England
• At least 3 years' post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care (preferably LAC, Permanency, or Court)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
