Children's Safeguarding Social Worker - Bolton
Ref: 3433482030_1753879638Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced and committed Qualified Social Worker to join the Children's Safeguarding Team at Bolton Council. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a progressive local authority dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and improving outcomes for families across the borough.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker in Bolton's Safeguarding Children Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality statutory support to children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Care Proceedings. The role involves working collaboratively with multi-agency partners, completing robust assessments, and ensuring all interventions are timely, proportionate, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
Your key duties will include:
- Managing a diverse caseload of CIN, CP, and court cases
- Completing thorough assessments and safeguarding reports
- Undertaking home visits and working within statutory timescales
- Preparing evidence and documentation for court proceedings
- Participating in duty rota cover, responding to urgent cases across the service
- Maintaining up-to-date case records that reflect sound analysis and decision-making
This role offers a hybrid model, balancing remote work, office attendance, and statutory visits. However, candidates must be able to travel to Bolton and attend the Castle Hill office at short notice when needed.
What We're Looking For:
Ideal candidates will be:
- Skilled at working within a statutory safeguarding environment
- Confident in managing complex cases and progressing care plans
- Experienced in child protection procedures and family court processes
- Proactive, resilient, and highly organised in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented, yet capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within Children's Safeguarding
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
