Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team at Blackpool Council. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children and families, within a council known for its commitment to relationship-based practice and strengths-led interventions.

Role: Family Safeguarding Social Worker

Location: Blackpool
Contract Type: Locum
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake pre-birth assessments, manage Child Protection and Complex Child in Need cases, and work within the PLO/Pre-Proceedings framework.
• Produce high-quality court statements, child and family assessments, and maintain accurate, timely case records.
• Support the Team Manager in mentoring and coaching newly qualified or less experienced social workers.
• Promote a reflective, learning-based culture through modelling best practice and contributing to continuous service improvement.
• Champion strengths-based, relationship-driven social work that places the child at the centre and supports the entire family.

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (BA, MA, DipSW, CQSW)
• Social Work England registration
• A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience in children's services
• Knowledge and experience of child protection, court work, and family safeguarding
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
