Ref: vets4pets-49927
Vets for Pets
Veterinary & Animal Care
To £70000 GBP Salaried

If you’re looking for a supportive vet role where you can develop your skills and pursue an area of interest, then we have a great role for you here at Stratford Vets for Pets!

Stratford-upon-Avon is a historic town located in the picturesque countryside of Warwickshire. It is famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespear. With its charming Tudor style building, cobblestone street and tranquil River Avon flowing through it’s heart, Stratford-upon-Avon offers a delightful blend of history, culture and natural beauty.

The practice will be going through an exciting rebrand very soon and practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. Ideally situated in one of the new Pets at Home concept stores, we have built an excellent reputation locally and see a varied caseload from our loyal client base.

You will have the opportunity to thrive in an independent practice environment whilst being part of a friendly and close team. We can offer you plenty of support with any career aspirations you have along with a healthy CPD allowance. So, if you want to pursue a post graduate qualification or certificate, we’re happy to help support that.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced vet who wants to have a real input in the practice and help us stay at the forefront of clinical thinking while maintaining our ethos of putting pets first.

The right candidate must have good surgical and medical skills, some experience in emergency surgery, and also be an excellent communicator. We will offer you the opportunity to gain a wide range of all-round responsibilities in the practice, including sole charge, so you must be confident in routine surgery and consultations.

This a part time role, 30 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends, with occasional sole charge, but no OOH.

Along with a competitive salary of up to £70,000 FTE (depending on experience), we offer all the standard benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, generous holiday, CPD allowance etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), including visa sponsorship if needed (we’re an A+ rated sponsor).
