Interim FP&A Analyst Job

Our client is entering a transformative phase as we prepare to become part of a larger US-based organisation. This transition brings both exciting opportunities and significant change. To help navigate this period, we're seeking an experienced and adaptable FP&A Analyst to join our small but busy FP&A team for a period of 6 months.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and is looking to play a key role in supporting integration efforts while maintaining robust financial planning and analysis processes.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis-adapting to evolving reporting requirements.
  • Provide backup for core reporting during the integration period to ensure continuity.
  • Consolidate and analyse data from multiple sources and present insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support product-level and customer-level revenue/margin analysis.
  • Assist with scenario modelling, ad-hoc analytics, and strategic decision-making support.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Collaborate with business partners to align assumptions with the new organisational structure and identify risks/opportunities.

Integration Support

  • Support integration with our new parent company-this may include updating financial models, reporting packs, and adapting to new planning cycles.
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives such as process documentation, system migrations, and automation efforts.
  • Assist with the transition to new ERP/reporting systems, charts of accounts, or cost centre structures.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a bridge between FP&A, accounting, and operational teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance audiences.

General Support

  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the business during this critical transition.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-10 years' experience in FP&A, business finance, or financial analysis roles.
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills; proficiency with Power BI and advanced Excel techniques.
  • Experience with Tier 1 systems (SAP, Oracle) and CRM tools (Salesforce).
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable operating in periods of uncertainty or change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) are a plus.

Preferred Attributes

  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-driven.
  • Quick to understand new business models and structures.
  • Collaborative team player with a flexible and hands-on approach.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute during a pivotal moment in our company's evolution. You'll gain invaluable experience working across a dynamic business while making a tangible impact during integration and transformation.
