Middlesbrough Council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Adult Social Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your skills and experience will contribute to improving outcomes for vulnerable adults in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning

Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to Best Interest decisions

Coordinate multi-agency support and work within a strength-based, person-centred approach

Contribute to safeguarding investigations and risk assessments

Work closely with service users, families, and other professionals to promote independence and well-being

Requirements:
Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration

Experience in adult social care settings

Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and related legislation

Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload

Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
