Oldham Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for Older People. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a busy, supportive, and multidisciplinary team that delivers vital services to older adults with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and develop support plans

Complete Section 117 aftercare planning and contribute to Mental Health Act reviews

Conduct thorough risk assessments

Work collaboratively with professionals across health and social care to ensure effective, person-centred care

Requirements:
Previous experience working in a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is essential

Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (Social Work England)

Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills
