Job Overview

Acting in the Area to which they assigned provide consistent and professional support and guidance to SLT team members, their operational teams and contract supply chain in order that they meet their QHSE objectives and targets and work closely with their Mitie Colleagues to ensure that the standards of QHSE management expected by Mitie and our clients are achieved across all operations.

Main Duties
* Engagement across the team from the management to the shop floor to our contractor supply chain to embed health and safety best practice and adhere to our clients contractor management programme.
* Leading on programmes of work and new initiatives across health and
* Managing a regular audit and reporting program and communicating performance across the
* Act as a key Health & Safety point of contact for the Mitie on site team and our contractor supply chain..
* Managing and delivering appropriate training programmes, methods of delivery and evaluation of effectiveness to ensure employees are competent regarding their HSE duties, including toolbox talks.
* Developing appropriate arrangements to ensure that risks from contractors and third-party suppliers are managed and effectively and in line with our client's contractor management programme.
* Proactively driving the Health & Safety agenda within the team, from hazard observations, near miss reporting, engagement of site safety champions and H&S
* Undertaking investigations of site incidents and accidents that addresses circumstances, cause and consider improvements that could be made for the
* Build a strong working relationship with the central Mitie HSE team and actively engage with them on high-risk activities.
* Regular Gemba's of the site to ensure we are delivering a safe and working
* Manage and maintain the COSHH register
* Carry out assessments that are outside the competence of operational managers e., Significant Ris k, COSHH, DSE and other assessments.
* Ensure all relevant site files are in place and up to date for all service lines
* Manage and maintain the Noise and Vibration registers for all equipment
* Manage and maintain the ladder registers for all equipment
* Periodically monitor sub-contractor safe systems of work
* Performance audits on permits and ensure Issuers and Receivers are following the correct
* Monitor all Ll audit actions and work with the audit owners to ensure they ar e completed
* Monitor and progress Non Injury Events (NIE's) with the action owners to ensure they are complete

What we are looking for
* Professional qualifications and experience:
+ Safety and/or environmental bias in previous roles.
+ NEBOSH Certificate essential or equivalent level 3 qualification.
+ Strong technical/ engineering understanding in a manufacturing/ pharmaceutical environment
+ Able to demonstrate continuing professional development.
+ Evidence of practical audit/inspection
+ Experience in delivery of QHSE
+ Broad experience and expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis .
+ Experience of Integrated Facilities Management sector, in particular Hard or Soft Services where applicable
+ Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and

+ Self-motivated, positive, reliable, tolerant, inquisitive, resilient and
+ Credible, and comfortable in dealing with
