We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Team Manager to join the Learning Disability & Autism Team within Newcastles Adult Social Care Services.

Location: Newcastle
Pay Rate: £257.85 per day
Hours: 37 hours per week

This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with operational objectives, financial targets, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and support a team of social work staff, including supervision, performance monitoring, work allocation, and professional development

Interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy to ensure compliant and effective service delivery

Oversee assessments, safeguarding investigations, and decision-making regarding service demand and resource allocation

Lead on operational procedure development, implementation, and monitoring

Manage and control devolved budgets in accordance with financial and council regulations

Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to ensure coordinated care and support

Represent the service in meetings with stakeholders, elected members, and external organisations

Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration (e.g., Social Work England)

Proven experience in team management or senior practitioner roles within Adult Social Care

Strong understanding of Learning Disability and Autism services and related legislation

Excellent communication, leadership, and budget management skills

Ability to work collaboratively and strategically across multi-agency settings
