Assessment Social Worker | Hull City Council
Location: Hull

Hull City Council is seeking an experienced Assessment Social Worker to join their Assessment Service on an agency basis.

About the Role

A vacancy has arisen for agency cover within the Assessment Service. In this role, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children requiring initial assessments
• Participate in the duty cycle, handling new referrals and allocations into the service
• Work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals to ensure timely, effective assessments and decision-making
• Maintain clear, analytical case recording and reporting

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience in front-line assessment work
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, thresholds, and early intervention
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, dynamic caseload
