Financial Analyst - Renewable Energy (Solar & Storage)

About the Company:
We are a fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in solar and battery storage projects across the UK and Europe. Backed by a dynamic leadership team and a strong commitment to the energy transition, we are accelerating the deployment of clean energy solutions - and we're looking for a Financial Analyst to support our next stage of growth.

Role Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded Financial Analyst to play a key role in supporting funding activities, project modelling, and financial planning for utility-scale solar and storage assets. Working closely with the CFO and investment team, you will be instrumental in preparing financial models, supporting debt/equity raises, and ensuring the financial health of our growing project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar and battery storage projects (greenfield and operational)

  • Support fundraising processes including preparation of investor presentations, data room materials, and due diligence

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on capital raising activities (debt, equity, project finance)

  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, board papers, and investment memos

  • Monitor financial performance of projects and support ongoing portfolio analysis

  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to inform investment decisions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, and legal teams to support project evaluation

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance, investment, or FP&A role (renewables or infrastructure preferred, but not essential)

  • Strong financial modelling skills and a solid understanding of cash flow forecasting

  • Exposure to project finance, fundraising, or M&A processes is highly desirable

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A self-starter with high attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • Prior experience in the renewable energy sector (solar or battery storage)

  • Familiarity with UK or European energy markets
