Company Overview:

Our client is a respected property maintenance contractor specialising in social housing repairs and refurbishment across the Midlands. They pride themselves on high standards of workmanship and a reliable, tenant-focused service. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a skilled Plasterer with additional Carpentry experience to join their Birmingham-based team.

Role Overview:

This is a multi-skilled role with a focus on plastering and the ability to support carpentry repairs where required. You'll work across occupied and void social housing properties, carrying out day-to-day maintenance and remedial work to keep homes in safe, liveable condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of plastering including:

    • Skimming, bonding, patchwork, ceilings, and full wall finishes

  • Carry out minor carpentry tasks such as:

    • Fitting skirting boards, boxing-in, replacing architraves, repairing door frames

  • Assess and complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

  • Work safely and respectfully in occupied homes

  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used

  • Use and maintain company-provided van and tools responsibly

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plasterer, with strong skills in both finishing and patch repairs

  • Basic carpentry experience across residential properties

  • Full UK driving licence - van and fuel card provided

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Experience working in social housing or similar environments is highly desirable

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plastering, Carpentry, or Multi-Trade Operations

  • CSCS Card

  • Basic DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
