We are a well-established, hardworking team that is passionate about the roles we play in ensuring quality and precision, and we're excited to welcome a new team member into our diverse and dynamic environment. If you have a passion for science, a sharp eye for detail, and the drive to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, then we're looking for you. We are currently seeking a Lab Support Assistant to join our dynamic Quality Assurance (QA) laboratory team-someone who thrives on maintaining efficiency, precision, and compliance within lab processes.

As a Lab Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our QA lab. Your responsibilities will include preparing laboratory solutions to ensure they're available when needed, performing functionality checks on essential equipment such as balances, pH meters, and fume hoods, and managing the cleaning of glassware while maintaining a well-stocked store area. You'll also handle waste disposal tasks, manage solvents, and keep asset schedules up to date along with ensuring training records are 100% complete. The role includes reporting any Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) concerns, near misses, or incidents to your line manager, and working flexibly to support production needs without impacting timelines. All work must adhere to ALCOA+ principles to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should have A-levels, Higher, or equivalent qualifications in a science subject. You'll bring a hard-working attitude and a strong willingness to learn, along with the confidence to challenge processes, suggest improvements, and communicate clearly. The ability to work independently under pressure is essential, as is a team-focused mindset and a strong customer service ethos. An organized, methodical approach, keen attention to detail, and a solid commitment to health and safety standards will also be key to your success in this position.
