The Opportunity

What You'll Be Doing:

Own and expertly manage a diverse portfolio of payroll and Auto-Enrolment pension clients from start to finish on a weekly/fortnightly/4 weekly and monthly basis.

Deliver accurate, compliant payroll services on time, every time - keeping clients, HMRC, and pension providers seamlessly informed.

Coordinate efficient payroll data collection tailored to client needs and deadlines.

Handle payroll processing, BACS submissions, and compliance with confidence and professionalism.

Lead and mentor junior payroll team colleagues, sharing your knowledge and fostering team success.

Stay ahead of legislation and payroll best practices to ensure the highest standards.

What We're Looking For:

Solid technical expertise in Payroll and Auto-Enrolment pension legislation - you're confident navigating both with proven experience working in busy payroll bureaus or practice environments.

Strong communicator who can build rapport with clients and HMRC alike.

Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Calm under pressure with a solution-focused mindset.

Tech-savvy, ideally with knowledge of Paycircle or Xero (or a willingness to learn).

Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

A proactive "can do" attitude and eagerness to grow your expertise.
