Butler Rose Public Practice and delighted to be partnering with our client a highly reputable and established Top tier firm of chartered accountants, that are now eager to appoint a skilled, experienced, and ambitious Tax Senior to complement their Private Client tax team from their fantastic City of St Albans offices.

Role Requirements -

  • The firm is eager to appoint an individual to manage a varied personal client tax portfolio dealing with all routine personal tax compliance and ad hoc advisory work.
  • Managing all day-to-day requirements for a Private Client portfolio, comprising of a mix of clients such as HNWIs and partnerships with varied sources of income e.g., earned and investment income.
  • Dealing with a range of capital gains tax issues.
  • Assisting with or dealing with the delivery of technical advisory work on the portfolio to include one off advisory and compliance assignments.
  • Attending client meetings as required as well as fee proposing and raising client bills and regularly reviewing WIP.

Person Requirements -

  • ATT qualified and/or currently studying towards the CTA with at least 3 years' private/personal tax experience working for a reputable UK based firm.
  • Proven experience of effectively managing a portfolio of private clients (HNWIs, non-domiciles, property owners, OMBs, partnerships)
  • Strong tax compliance experience and ideally some advisory exposure
  • Excellent communication skills and well accustomed in liaising with the HMRC on behalf of clients.
