Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Learning Disability and Autism (LDA Team)
Location: Shropshire (Countywide)
Rate: £28.40 per hour (in line with Adults MOU)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote, with occasional office attendance (a couple of days per month, flexible)
Team: Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Community Social Work Team

Role Overview:
Shropshire Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join its Learning Disability and Autism Community Social Work Team for a 12-week agency placement. The role will be countywide and focuses primarily on reassessment work.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled practitioner to contribute to a proactive and supportive team delivering high-quality services for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake reassessments in line with Care Act requirements

Work with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to promote independence and person-centred outcomes

Liaise with families, carers, and partner agencies to coordinate care

Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with service standards

Apply safeguarding and mental capacity legislation where appropriate
