Qualified Social Worker - Community DoLS (Learning Disabilities Team)
Location: Southampton
Pay Rate: £28.00 - £32.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary - Potential for Extension

We are currently seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Learning Disabilities/Community DoLS team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to support a focused project aimed at reducing the backlog of individuals requiring Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead on Community DoLS applications, including preparation and submission of associated court paperwork

Complete Mental Capacity Assessments confidently and independently

Work in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to ensure best outcomes for service users

Prioritise cases in line with court timescales and team needs

Requirements:
? Social Work England Registration
? Proven experience and confidence in Community DoLS and court processes
? Strong knowledge and application of the Mental Capacity Act
? LD/Neurodiversity (ND) experience desirable
? Ability to work autonomously and manage caseload effectively
