Job Title: Team Manager - Adult Social Care (Access & Review)
Location: Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, MK9 3EJ
Rate: £42 - £45 per hour (umbrella, DOE)
Working Pattern: Initial 2 weeks office-based, then up to 2 days remote per week depending on service needs
Contract: Locum

Milton Keynes City Council is currently recruiting a Team Manager to lead both the Access (Front Door) and Older People Review teams. This is a key leadership role for an experienced manager who can provide operational oversight, line management, and strategic guidance across two busy adult social care functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operational leadership of the Access and OP Review Teams

Line management and supervision of staff including deputy team manager

Oversight of service budgets, ensuring efficient and lawful use of resources

Quality assurance of assessments, care plans, and contact forms

Providing professional support, information, and guidance to staff

Requirements:

Proven experience in adult social care management

Strong understanding of relevant legislation and operational frameworks

Able to commit to office presence for the first two weeks
