Leeds City Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Adults Social Worker to join their West Learning Disability Team-a fast-paced and supportive service committed to improving outcomes for adults with learning disabilities.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will provide high-quality social work support to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring a person-centred and strengths-based approach. Key responsibilities include:

Managing a diverse caseload of adults with learning disabilities

Undertaking assessments, support planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014

Safeguarding adults at risk and applying risk management strategies

Working closely with families, carers, providers, and partner agencies

Supporting individuals to live independently and safely within the community

Essential Criteria:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities

Strong knowledge of safeguarding and risk management

Solid understanding of statutory duties under the Care Act

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work flexibly across home, community, and office settings (hybrid model)
