Accounts Manager - Accountancy Practice

Oldham

Up to £55,000

A well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Oldham, is looking to appoint an Accounts Manager for their Oldham office. This is an ideal role for someone with strong experience in accounts and client management who thrives in a team leadership position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients
  • Reviewing and finalising accounts prepared by the team
  • Providing feedback and mentoring to support team development
  • Taking full ownership of client relationships, including regular meetings and communications
  • Supporting the Partners with the day-to-day running of the department
  • Ensuring high standards of work are maintained across the team
  • Working to deadlines and internal budgets

Ideal experience:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • At least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Confident reviewing work and managing client relationships
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 102A
  • A proactive and approachable leader who enjoys developing others

This is a great opportunity for someone who either has existing management experience or someone who is a strong senior and is ready to step into a management role.
