Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Butler Rose is proud to be partnering with a well-established manufacturer based in the Newton Abbot area, currently seeking a dedicated and technically minded Production Operative to join their growing team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Production Operative will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of components and finished goods, in accordance with detailed work instructions and company standards. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manufacture of finished goods in line with work instructions and/or training matrix
  • Reporting any necessary amendments to works order bill of materials
  • Collaborating with the technical team to identify alternative solutions in the event of product shortages
  • Monitoring consumable usage and stock levels
  • Testing and providing feedback on new work instructions for new products
  • Conducting visual inspections before boxing items
  • Printing product QR labels when required
  • Supporting fellow Production Operatives with product amendments or assembly adjustments
  • Ensuring all tools and stock are packed away and work spaces are clean at the end of each day

Candidate Requirements

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Technically minded with a practical approach
  • Previous experience in electrical and/or plumbing roles is desirable
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality of work
  • Familiarity with computer systems, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
