Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to join our technical services team, working predominantly across commercial properties. The role involves the inspection, testing, calibration, and certification of domestic gas equipment used in commercial environments, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct calibration, testing, and servicing of domestic gas appliances and instruments located within commercial properties such as offices, schools, housing associations, care homes, and other large-scale facilities.

Diagnose faults and repair or replace components where necessary to maintain operational safety and efficiency.

Ensure all equipment meets industry calibration standards, manufacturer specifications, and current legislation (e.g., Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998).

Accurately record and maintain documentation including calibration certificates, inspection reports, and service logs.

Liaise with clients and site contacts to coordinate work schedules and ensure minimal disruption during operations.

Adhere to company and site-specific health and safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and risk assessments.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.

Stay updated with industry developments, legislation, and best practices related to gas safety and calibration.

Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in domestic gas servicing, maintenance, and calibration - ideally within commercial settings.

Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, and HTR1.

Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and calibration standards.

Experience working in commercial properties (e.g., multi-occupancy buildings, educational institutions, etc.).

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

IT literate and comfortable using digital service management systems.
