Job Title: Indirect Purchasing Specialist

Role Overview
This role is focused on managing all aspects of indirect procurement to ensure cost-effective purchasing and smooth operational support across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily indirect purchasing operations, including processing purchase orders, managing quote requests, and liaising with suppliers
• Run competitive tendering for indirect procurement needs from internal teams or capital expenditure requests
• Handle supplier onboarding and ensure ongoing compliance with company standards
• Manage documentation for on-site contractors
• Coordinate activity with the integrated on-site supplier, including to-buy reports and driving value-added initiatives
• Support customs and logistics queries, including clearance documentation
• Organise onboarding essentials for new staff (business cards, PPE, workwear, etc.)
• Represent the procurement function during audits
• Proactively identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key suppliers
• Monitor and implement strategies for reducing indirect inventory levels

Candidate Profile
We are looking for an organised and proactive purchasing professional with experience in indirect procurement. You'll have strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
