Overview
My client is offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative MEP team within a multidisciplinary engineering and sustainability practice. As part of a well-established and growing electrical design team, you'll support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions for a range of high-profile projects across the UK and Europe.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a forward-thinking consultancy, delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions across sectors including commercial, retail, residential, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the delivery of detailed and performance-based electrical design services, including:
o Low voltage power distribution
o Internal and external lighting and controls
o Emergency lighting systems
o Small power and containment
o Fire detection and alarm systems
o Security, access control, and other ELV systems
* Produce technical specifications, design drawings, and clear client reports.
* Undertake site inspections and attend project meetings.
* Apply current standards and regulations, including BS 7671
* Support feasibility studies, EPC/MEES compliance, and NZC strategies
* Provide technical input for surveys and due diligence assessments.
* Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
* Participate in developing design standards, best practices, and technical tools.
* Assist in preparing budget estimates and contribute to project planning.
* Monitor personal performance against project and financial targets.
* Engage in knowledge sharing and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience
* Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng)
* At least 5 years industry experience in consultancy or contractor design
* Working towards (or already achieved) chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g., MCIBSE)
* Proficiency in design and modelling software such as Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or scripting tools (e.g., Python, VBA) is a plus.
* Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and EPC requirements
* Experience in report writing and presenting technical information clearly.
* Strong coordination and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
