Our client a Large Local Authority have the following requirement :

Health & Safety Specialist , Highways

LOCATION : South Gloucestershire

TERM : 3-6 months | 44 hours per week available.

This is an operational role so the candidate will be required to work independently but in close liaison with site teams to :

Undertake site inductions.
Site supervision, spot checks and audits.
Produce risk assessments and method statements.
Develop construction phase health & safety plans.
Report continued performance to the Operations Manager.


They will have:

Ability to work as part of a team so ensure project delivery.
Competence to work and produce documents independently.
Relevant NEBOSH qualification.
Experience in highways work.


I must stress the importance that this is not a compliance officer role, the role is very much embedded within the team to deliver the project.
