Job Title: Deputy Team Manager - Learning Disabilities
Location: Southwark
Contract: Full-time
Southwark Council is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Team Manager to join our Learning Disabilities team.
In this role, you will support a team of 4 Social Workers and 1 Assistant Practitioner. You will also provide duty cover as the duty manager in the absence of the duty senior.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and supervise team members in their daily practice
Oversee complex casework, including safeguarding investigations and court work
Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with relevant legislation
Provide leadership and act as a point of contact for the team when needed
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with management or senior practitioner experience
Strong knowledge and experience of safeguarding processes
Experience with court work is essential
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
