Role Overview

As a Relief Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding people, property, and assets. You will work in accordance with each site's Assignment Instructions (AI's), adapting quickly while delivering a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities Operational Duties
* Follow all policies, site-specific AI's, and legal guidelines.
* Adapt quickly to changes in AI's and suggest service improvements.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, always displaying the correct licenses and badges.

Training & Development
* Complete all mandatory and competency-based training.
* Embrace additional training opportunities for self-improvement.
* Maintain up-to-date job knowledge using available technology and resources.
* Renew SIA licence 16 weeks before expiration.

Security & Health & Safety
* Identify and report Health & Safety hazards immediately.
* Remain vigilant to potential risks or suspicious activity.
* Demonstrate professionalism in all customer and colleague interactions.
* Log accurate incident notes and follow the proper incident reporting process.
* Make timely check calls in line with AI's.
* Liaise with emergency services and the Mitie Communication Centre as required.

* Experience: Prior security experience is essential.
* Licences: Valid SIA licence required; SC clearance is desirable.
* Skills: High attention to detail, excellent communication, and a proactive approach.
* Character: Calm under pressure, reliable, and able to act decisively using sound judgement.
