Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour (weekly pay, PAYE0)

Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in office, increasing to 2 days per week every third week. Full-time in-office attendance required during initial training period.

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and organised Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Manchester on a 6-month temporary contract. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in payroll administration and finance, preferably in a shared service environment.

This is a heavily administrative and customer-focused role, requiring excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service in line with SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate, timely payroll processing in line with internal procedures and statutory requirements
  • Provide a customer-centric service, handling queries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Ensure all service levels and SLAs are consistently met
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity across all systems
  • Carry out general administrative duties across payroll and finance functions

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in payroll and finance administration
  • Experience working in a shared service centre or high-volume environment preferred
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
