Quality Inspector required to work for a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation based near Uxbridge. We are looking for an effective and well organised individual to work within a top level Quality team on a 6 month contract basis. You will be required to Perform independent visual, dimensional, inspection of component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished product assemblies.

This role is key to ensuring the businesses meets Operational compliance in-line with the Companies procedures, specification and Customer / Certification requirements. To do this you will represent the quality team in all areas of operational quality. You will be Supporting / administrating the implementation of root cause and corrective actions within the business - focusing on Operational excellence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a CMM Inspector to join our team. In this role, you would be responsible for inspecting components

Key accountabilities

  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret geometric features/tolerances.
  • To perform CMM Inspection using Aberlink software on the CMM Machine.
  • Working with various materials including aluminium, steel, castings, cast iron etc.
  • Operating CMM equipment and the ability to manually measure parts using conventional equipment - verniers, micrometres, gauges, callipers etc.
  • Documenting quality issues and reporting non-conformances.
  • Generating CMM Programs to measure components in CNC mode.
  • Compiling detailed inspection reports.
  • Complying with standards of safety, company policy that apply to the product.
  • Expert knowledge of FAIRS.
  • Adhering to health and safety standards as set out by the company.

Knowledge Required

  • Ability to read technical engineering drawings
  • CMM Inspection
  • Use Shadowgraph
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment
  • CMM Programming
  • Compiling inspection reports
  • Microsoft Office

Qualifications/Experience

  • CMM Inspection
  • Experience with Aberlink Software is desirable
  • Experience generating CMM programs
