A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their Corporate Audit and Advisory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional looking to take the lead on audit assignments while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the wider team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing audit fieldwork, planning and completion, delivering high-quality services to a broad portfolio of corporate and commercial clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage audit plans to align with client objectives.
  • Lead on-site audit teams, ensuring fieldwork is completed efficiently.
  • Participate in planning discussions, identifying audit risks and strategies.
  • Draft or review financial statements and audit documentation.
  • Ensure effective use of audit software tools such as Caseware.
  • Supervise, coach and review the work of junior audit team members.
  • Draft management reports and discuss findings with clients.
  • Monitor assignment budgets, timelines and risk procedures.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for broader service delivery.

Personal Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong background in external audit within a professional practice.
  • Experienced in working directly with clients across various sectors.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g., Caseware).
  • Confident leading teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Willing to travel to offices and client sites across East Anglia when required.
