About the Opportunity

A well-established Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their commercial team, based in Livingston. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company delivering high-impact projects across education, healthcare, civic, and infrastructure sectors.

You'll play a key role in winning work and shaping the future pipeline of major public and private construction projects across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders

• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to build accurate cost plans

• Liaise with supply chain and internal teams to secure best value

• Conduct risk and value analysis for tender submissions

• Ensure timely and compliant delivery of bids

• Mentor junior estimators and support ongoing process improvements

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within a main contractor environment

• Solid understanding of various procurement methods (design & build, traditional, two-stage, etc.)

• Ability to read technical drawings and develop detailed cost estimates

• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Motivated, detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure
