Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £13.00-£13.50 per hour + holiday pay (approx. £14.50-£15+ total)
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (until 19th December 2025)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (30-minute break)
Reports To: Project Manager / Site Manager / Housing Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Resident Liaison Officer to join our team on a large refurbishment and repair project. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a customer service background, basic IT skills, and access to their own transport, who's looking to step into a more hands-on, community-focused role.

You'll be the main point of contact for residents, helping to ensure they are well-informed and supported while works are carried out in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for residents throughout the works process

  • Communicate clearly and regularly with residents-before, during, and after works

  • Liaise with site staff, housing officers, and contractors

  • Help resolve any complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism

  • Visit residents in their homes for welfare checks and updates

  • Keep accurate records and assist with general admin, emails, and documentation

  • Support vulnerable tenants and help arrange alternative accommodation if needed

  • Attend resident meetings and community consultations

  • Promote a positive relationship between the project team and the local community

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Background in customer service, support, or community engagement

  • Good communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Some IT skills - comfortable with email, Microsoft Office, and basic admin tasks

  • Ability to travel between locations (own transport preferred)

  • Friendly, reliable, and confident working with the public

  • Organised and able to manage your time independently

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in housing, property services, or resident support roles

  • Multilingual abilities

  • Familiarity with social housing or tenant rights

Suitable Backgrounds May Include:

  • Customer Service Advisors (face-to-face or phone-based)

  • Housing Officers or Support Workers

  • Retail or Hospitality Team Leaders

  • Call Centre Operatives

  • Community Support Workers

  • Receptionists or Front-of-House Staff
