Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a specialist neurological service in Sawbridgeworth, supporting adults with complex neurological conditions to maximise independence and quality of life.

The role involves managing a varied caseload, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapy interventions, and contributing to service development within a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out neurological assessments and develop rehabilitation plans

Deliver ADL-focused and cognitive rehabilitation interventions

Conduct environmental assessments and recommend equipment adaptations

Apply outcome measures including FIM/FAM, CRS-R, WHIM, and TOMS

Liaise with external agencies for effective discharge planning

Supervise OT assistants and students

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to MDT working

Essential Criteria:

HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

Minimum 4 years' post-qualifying experience

Experience in neurorehabilitation or complex care settings

Strong clinical reasoning and knowledge of OT frameworks

Confident in working autonomously and within a team

Location Overview:
This purpose-built service provides specialist care for individuals with acquired brain injury, spinal injuries, and long-term neurological conditions. Based on the Hertfordshire/Essex border, the site is easily accessible from London and Cambridge.
