Redbridge Council is looking to appoint a reliable and physically fit Housing Caretaker to join their in-house caretaking team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the internal and external communal areas of the council's housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, litter picking, and dusting communal areas

• Removing bulk waste and maintaining cleanliness in car parks and service roads

• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, fire safety, and building safety regulations

• Working cooperatively within a small team environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in caretaking or cleaning within a professional setting

• Physically fit and hardworking with a strong sense of responsibility

• A full, clean UK manual driving licence is essential

• Must be eligible to work in the UK

• Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 years of references or work history

• Will be required to complete a criminal convictions declaration and confidentiality agreement upon offer

Additional Information:
Candidates must attend an on-site paid trial day from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel toe cap boots and suitable workwear, must be worn.
