Job Title: Advanced Technical Lecturer - Mental Health

Eden Brown are seeking an experienced and passionate Advanced Technical Lecturer (ATL) in Mental Health for a Further Education College in the North East of England to lead the delivery and development of their Mental Health T Level-a key growth programme aligned with NHS priorities and local workforce needs.

As an ATL, you will play a strategic role in shaping high-quality technical education in healthcare, guiding curriculum development, and leading subject pedagogy to ensure learners are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to thrive in todays healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in developing and delivering the T Level in Mental Health, ensuring it reflects current clinical practices and sector needs.
- Teach and manage learning across a range of qualifications, from entry level to Level 7, within the Mental Health specialism.
- Translate complex, real-world technical and clinical knowledge into engaging, accessible learning experiences.
- Produce high-quality teaching materials and practical demonstrations using up-to-date industry-standard equipment and technologies.
- Lead and mentor a team of lecturers to raise standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Support strategic improvement initiatives that keep learners-and their career outcomes-at the heart of our provision.
- Contribute to workforce and curriculum planning, particularly in response to regional and national healthcare needs.

About You:
- We're looking for a confident and skilled mental health practitioner who brings both industry experience and a passion for education.

You will have:
- Professional experience as an RMN, HCPC-registered clinician, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with a Mental Health specialism.
- The ability to embed real-world clinical insight into classroom delivery.
- A teaching qualification and some teaching experience (or a willingness to gain a teaching qualification).
- Experience or interest in leading and developing teaching teams.
- The capability to lead subject pedagogy and mentor others in the delivery of technical education.
