You’ll be joining a thriving, vibrant and energetic team of two permanent vets, and a strong nursing team.

Our practice provides an excellent range of facilities (including ultrasound) giving you access to all the equipment and space and support you need to give the very best care for your patients. We ideally want you to be happy with a good mix of theatre time and consulting time.

You will be confident to establish and run weight clinics, diabetes clinics and you will assist with overseeing our pharmacy and ordering processes.

Clinical coaching experience is desirable but not essential. A willingness to train as a coach is also desirable and training will be funded. You will have a varied and engaging caseload and will provide passionate and dedicated care for our patients.

Your daily duties will include effective communication with clients; case handovers and communication; liaising with all colleagues to facilitate gold standard patient care; prioritising and providing safe and effective patient care in a timely manner; supporting patients undergoing general anaesthesia and sedation; facilitating diagnostic procedures, including radiography and ultrasound.

Our nurses are skilled, passionate veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they can achieve their clinical potential. We have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to develop your own core client base, nurse-led clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures.

Joining us will allow you to work within an exceptional clinical team and develop your career whilst continuing your learning. We offer access to a multitude of professional development opportunities, or more in-depth programmes developed specifically for primary care nurses.

You will work 40 hours per week, one Saturday in four, weekday shifts to be agreed, with paid lunch breaks.

Benefits to include:

Along with a competitive salary of up to £30,000, we offer all the standard benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, birthday as leave, exclusive lifestyle, and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

Location: M41 7FN

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
