Location: Cumbria
Type: 1 Year Fixed Term - Part Time (22 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 - £41,000 (then pro rata)

Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Lecturer for a Further Education College in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning experiences for our students.

This is a part time (22 hours per week) fixed term contract for 1 year.

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will teach across a range of programmes, with a focus on T-Level Laboratory Science. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress through formative and summative methods, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking documentation.

While your primary focus will be Biology within the T-Level framework, some teaching across other Science levels and programmes may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging and effective Biology lessons, particularly within the T-Level Laboratory Science curriculum.
- Monitor and track student progress using appropriate systems and documentation.
- Support learners to achieve outstanding outcomes through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science provision and promote continuous improvement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes within the department.

Essential Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- A degree in Biology or a closely related science subject.
- Experience teaching Biology at secondary or further education level.
- Strong commitment to student success and inclusive learning practices.

Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with T-Level Science delivery.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms.
