Position: Assembly Operative

Location: Haddenham

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Assembly Operative to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Haddenham.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Assembly Operative to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Complete tasks on a daily basis to maximise productivity
  2. Be prepared and flexible to work on various lines (cells) within the production area
  3. Ensure tools, work instructions and work environment are maintained to 6s quality standards
  4. Provide continuous improvement ideas and suggestions to the business
  5. Escalate any quality and safety issues to your manager
  6. Take instructions from your manager and work together with colleagues from Engineering, Quality, Customer Service and Warehousing

Experience

  1. Experience of working on a production line or in warehousing within a manufacturing environment
  2. Good eye-hand co-ordination to construct small parts and components into a final product; using hand tools as required
  3. Ability to follow instructions and diagrams for each product
  4. Can work quickly and accurately to meet production targets; working independently or in a team environment
  5. Willing to be on your feet, working with and handling heavy parts, using safe manual handling techniques
  6. Competent reading and communication skills in English.
