Rate of Pay:

  • PAYE: £18.51 per hour

  • Umbrella/Ltd: £23.64 per hour

Job Description:

Southern Housing is seeking two experienced Electrical Technicians to join their Direct Services team. You'll be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance across domestic properties and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair lighting systems, ventilation fans, switches, and socket outlets

  • Undertake electrical fault finding and remedial works

  • Install new lighting and power fixtures as needed

  • Complete all tasks to required safety and quality standards

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Certificate

  • City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts 1 & 2

  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable)

  • Previous experience working in domestic and/or social housing environments

  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

  • Must provide 2 years' references/work history

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no serious convictions in the past 10 years)

  • Must complete a Confidentiality Agreement and Criminal Convictions Declaration upon offer
