Contract Duration: 3/4 months

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable civil engineering subcontractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 4-month project in Dalkeith. The project involves key civil engineering elements such as drainage, hard landscaping, kerbing, and utilities installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards

  • Oversee activities related to drainage, hard landscaping, kerbing, and utilities

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and main contractor teams

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures

  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management

  • Manage site resources and logistics efficiently

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks

  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering or groundworks projects

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with drainage, hard landscaping, kerbing, and utilities installation

  • Valid SMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

  • Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to manage health and safety effectively on site

  • Reliable and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities
