Project Designer - Renewable Energy (Solar PV & BESS)

Are you passionate about shaping the future of renewable energy? Our client, a leading Spanish company in the field, is seeking a talented Project Designer to join our expanding team in London.

About Us: Established close to 20 years ago, our client is an esteemed independent producer of renewable energy, specializing in wind and photovoltaic sources. Cover all aspects of projects from development to operation and maintenance. With a presence across LATAM, Europe, and the USA, they are dedicated to sustainable energy solutions.

Your Role: As a Project Designer, you will play a crucial role in our Development department, contributing to the design and optimization of renewable energy projects, particularly in batteries and solar.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, PvSyst, and other relevant software for project layout execution.
  • Optimize plant sizing based on land characteristics and demographics.
  • Contribute to projects from initial development stages to completion.
  • Independently lead and make decisions while sharing knowledge with team members.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in designing PV and BESS projects.
  • Familiarity with UK regulations pertaining to BESS and PV.
  • Background working with DNOs (Distribution Network Operators) beneficial
  • 4 day week/ Hybrid

Location: London

Salary: 45,000 to 55,000 per annum.
