Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer

You'll play a vital role in supporting the Engineering Supervisor, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant machinery and electrical systems. As a key contributor to the site's maintenance team, you'll also support the growth and development of your colleagues while keeping workplace standards high.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the skills and capabilities of other team members

  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by following best practices and policies

  • Supervise contractors as needed, ensuring work meets required standards

  • Conduct fault-finding and problem-solving activities on plant and machinery

  • Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime

  • Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce equipment failures

  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to increase plant efficiency

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

  • 16th, 17th, or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

  • Strong electrical maintenance background

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and email systems

  • Committed to health and safety best practices

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to learning and improvement
