Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established, multi award winning, and highly successful Top 100 accounting firm based in the heart of trendy Camden Town, London that are now keen to appoint a qualified and experienced practice professional in the capacity of Senior Accountant to complement the existing team.

In this role you will play a pivotal role within the accounts department, bringing forth your exceptional technical expertise and accounting standards. With a deep understanding of various tax disciplines, including personal, corporate, and capital gains tax, you will contribute significantly to the firm's clients financial success.

Role Requirements -

  • Preparation, review and finalisation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, sole traders, partnerships utilising source documents or clients' nominal ledgers.
  • Preparation, review and finalisation of business and personal tax computations
  • Completion of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Completion of IXBRL tagging and submission of accounts to Companies House and HMRC
  • Preparation, review and finalisation of management accounts and cashflows
  • Reporting to partners on job progress and financial targets
  • Supervision and training of junior staff members and assisting in technical issues
  • Planning and implementation of technical changes to accounts


Person Requirements -

  • Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified or late stage studying with at least 4+ years' experience working for a prominent UK based accountancy practice in a similar Senior Accountant role
  • Strong working exposure to accounts preparation (FRS102-1A) and tax returns
  • Proficient in the use of CCH and XERO (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
