Are you an experienced safeguarding professional ready to take on a vital role within Children's Services? Derby City Council is looking for a skilled practitioner to manage and lead on Child Protection Chairing and LADO responsibilities.

???? Key Responsibilities:

• Chair Child Protection Conferences, Strategy Meetings, and other safeguarding meetings in line with statutory duties.

• Co-ordinate and oversee investigations into allegations against staff, carers, and volunteers as part of the LADO function.

• Work closely with senior leadership to implement robust systems and quality assurance processes across the safeguarding partnership.

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, and statutory guidance.

• Lead and contribute to audits and policy development within Children's Services.

???? Requirements:

• Proven experience in safeguarding, child protection, and LADO procedures.

• Ability to confidently chair multi-agency meetings.

• Strong understanding of statutory frameworks and best practice in children's social care.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
