Shift Pattern: Continental (4 days on, 4 days off)


Join one of the most advanced data centre operations teams in the UK and take the lead in a critical environment where technical excellence and operational reliability are paramount.

We are recruiting two experienced Technical Shift Leads (Authorised Persons) to join a highly skilled team supporting a flagship data centre facility in the heart of London. You'll play a central role in managing a team of engineers, driving best-in-class maintenance operations, and ensuring high performance across mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical coordination point for daily maintenance and critical engineering tasks

  • Operate and maintain all M&E systems (including HV isolations and switching operations)

  • Lead, mentor, and manage performance of a team of Technical Engineers

  • Oversee Specialist Subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with RAMS and quality standards

  • Ensure all plant rooms and critical areas meet exceptional operational and presentation standards

  • Conduct toolbox talks, promote a proactive QHSE culture, and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks, ensuring SLA adherence

  • Lead in shift handovers, reporting, scenario-based training, and technical development

  • Take ownership of compliance checks (monthly and annually)

  • Provide quotations and manage critical spares inventory

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Authorised Person status for Electrical and/or Mechanical systems

  • Proven experience in critical environments (data centres, healthcare, financial services, etc.)

  • Excellent technical understanding of HV/LV systems, mechanical plant, and BMS

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage risks, and maintain operational continuity
