A snapshot of your day

As part of the Erection and Commissioning (E&C) team, this role will focus on sales phase project scheduling for Substations, FACTS and HVDC builds across the UK&I. As an integral part of the front-end team, you will face new challenges every day across all the above business units in programme creating and risk mitigation. In this role, you will form part of a sustainable power supply strategy, which is to be further implemented in the coming years across many projects.

As part of your tasks, you will create E&C programmes with the support of technical advisors to ensure a robust and achievable build sequence is agreed by all parties. Additionally, you will be crucial in identifying change and potential risk in programme amendments, with the overall objective of driving confidence in a programme that is achievable and competitive.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Perform scheduling during the bid phase for complex turnkey power transmission projects.
  • Build, customise and update a settlement schedule with more than 4000 activities (Primavera P6 scheduling software).
  • Regularly updating the schedule through the bid phase considering established project management methods and project reporting (critical path analysis, milestone trend analysis, earned value management, deviation analysis).
  • Detection of deviations and development of appropriate countermeasures.

What You Bring

  • Completed studies with a technical background or technical training with corresponding many years of professional experience.
  • Many years of professional experience with excellent knowledge of the methods of scheduling, resource and project planning and controlling, critical path analysis, network engineering.
  • Proven professional experience in engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning interfaces.
  • PRIMAVERA Enterprise, P6 / MS Project experience.
  • Experience in EPC projects, ideally in the field of power transmission.
  • Experience through construction site assignments
  • Intercultural experience
  • Right to work in the UK
