Stockport Council is seeking a Team Manager to lead a dedicated Locality-based CP/CIN team, supporting families from the point of referral through to long-term planning and intervention-without transition points. ???? About the Role
As Team Manager, you'll lead and develop a team of six Social Workers and two Senior Practitioners across duty and long-term Child Protection and CIN work. You'll ensure high-quality supervision, promote outstanding practice, and work in a collaborative and supportive environment where career development is championed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading and supervising a locality social work team handling CP/CIN cases
• Supporting practitioners through complex safeguarding and court processes (including pre-proceedings)
• Championing the relationship-based, restorative practice model
• Enhancing performance and outcomes across a diverse and rewarding caseload
• Working closely with the Service Leader and senior management to drive best practice

✅ What We're Looking For

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Strong leadership experience across Child Protection and CIN teams
• Skilled in court work, pre-proceedings, and multi-agency collaboration
• Committed to strengths-based, family-led practice
• Motivated to lead, support, and grow your team and service
