Thames Water is recruiting a passionate Electrical Project Engineer driven to help shape the future of water and wastewater treatment in London and its surrounding areas. This is your chance to be part of something bigger in AMP8: modernising our Treatment Works, delivering essential services, and protecting the environment for future generations.

What you’ll be doing as an Electrical Project Engineer

  • Assessment of Project Briefs and associated technical information and solutions to support risk mitigation and maximise value before pricing by the delivery contractor.
  • Work within multi-disciplinary project teams per project delivery procedures.
  • Work towards delivering project outputs on time, cost and quality through planning and forecasting resource requirements.
  • Developing capability and working to ensure continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid role with a base location of Hampton Coal Wharf.

You will be expected to be in the office or on-site 2-3 days a week.

Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to drive, but please apply if this is not the case, as your application will still be considered.

Ideally, this will be a full-time 36-hour-a-week role, working Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role of Electrical Engineer 

  • Degree or HNC in electrical engineering.
  • An understanding of developing technical project solutions and briefs, especially those related to electrical scope.
  • Awareness of project delivery in process industries.
  • Have a strong comprehension of health & safety in the construction industry, particularly CDM.
  • Understanding electrical processes and equipment, including LV and HV installations, in a similar industry to Water.
